CEDIA Electronic Systems Technician Advanced Residential Boot Camp is an
advanced level CEDIA course. This course teaches existing
custom electronics installation technicians how to perform
installation, configuration, testing, calibration, and basic
control tasks associated with more advanced residential audio
and video systems.
The goal of this course is to provide the attendee
with the knowledge and skills that are necessary to perform
tasks typically assigned to a lead custom electronics installation
technician for field installation of audio and video subsystems. Typical
sub-systems include installing and mounting flat panel and front
projection displays, distributed audio and video, satellite
video distribution, RF source distribution, A/V entertainment
systems, and home theater systems. The lab portion of this boot camp focuses on home theater installation and calibration.
Upon completion of
the course, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the digital and analog signals and formats used in audio and video equipment
- Identify the function and operation of typical audio and video equipment
- Properly install and interconnect A/V equipment typically used in home theaters and home entertainment systems
- Accurately install and mount video displays, and speakers to meet industry recognized best practices
- Properly calibrate a video display for proper performance
- Understand basic room acoustics and install a typical room treatment package
- Properly calibrate a 5.1 surround system for optimum performance
CEDIA Electronic Systems Technician Advanced Residential Boot Camp takes place
at the state-of-the-art CEDIA Training Facility in Indianapolis, IN. Boot
Camp runs from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day.
